Call for New Tutors

The English Writing Center (EWC) is looking for writing tutors from ANY area of study to apply to work in the Center. The EWC provides a fun working environment as tutors work primarily with undergraduate students from around the campus to improve their written and oral communication skills. Tutors are paid $7.5 per hour and are scheduled for 10 hours per week. Tutor's hours are scheduled around their class schedule. Come and be part of our excellent team!

Students interested in being a tutor can apply by submitting a one-page cover letter along with their resume to Daly Martell in the Department of English (Chardon 323). The letter should be addressed to Kevin S. Carroll, Coordinator of the English Writing Center.

All applications must be received by May 18, 2012.

Congratulations to UPRM MAEE alum, Ramon Febus, who was recently accepted into the doctoral program in the School of Communication at the University of Miami beginning August 2012!
