HPLC Agilent 1100 VWD - ICP

High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) instruments are used for the analysis of non-volatile or thermally stable compounds. It is one of the most wide used instrumentation for the analysis pharmaceutical products, isolation of natural products, petrochemical industry, and compounds of environmental interest, among others. This instrument is equipped with a variable wavelength detector. In order to be suitable for the analysis the sample must absorb radiation in the UV-Vis range (usually organic compounds must contain double bonds). This instrument also can be connected to the ICP-MS system for the speciation of inorganic species such as arsenic, selenium and vanadium, when using the ICP-MS as a very sensitive detector.

Caution, samples must be filtered using a 0.45µm filters before injecting into the system, otherwise it will clog the lines and columns increasing the pressure causing system failure. The system must be rinsed with water and methanol to remove salts from buffers before turning the system off. Please refer to Good Laboratory Practice for more important information.

Please refer to safety rules for information on how to manage samples.I will comply with the laboratory safety rules and general laboratory procedures.
