My futures plans include completing a Ph.D. in Marine Sciences specialized in coral reef restauration. My greatest interest in obtaining a degree in this field is becuase I wish to work with the different parameters that are affecting our marine ecosystems every day. By promoting the ecological restoration of coral reefs, we promote healthier ocean habitats . Being the most diverse ecosystem in the marine environment, coral reefs play an essential roll in a great number of chemical, biological and geological processes. Because of the current threats they are being expossed to, such as ocean acidification, restauration and management plans must be put in action before they become just a memory.
