• Our group is part of the recently awarded NSF's ERC Cell Manufacturing Technologies (CMaT). CMaT is a multi-instituional center that aims to engineer novel processes for the biomanufacturing of cells. 
• Our review article on 3D culture of nerve cells was recently published in MRS Communications! Congratulations to Rada, Luis, and Carol!
• Check out a book on Electrospinning edited by Dr. Almodovar that will soon be published by Springer Press.

• Dr.Almodóvar's recently published a review article in Advanced Healthcare Materials on Layer-by-Layer for biomedical applications with colleagues from Grenoble, France.

• A proposal submitted by Dr. Almodóvar to the Department of Defense for the Acquisition of Infrared Variable Angle Spectroscopic Ellipsometer was approved for funding! 

• Congratulations to Adriana Mulero who was accepted to the NNIN-iREU (National Nanotechonology Infrastructure Network-International Research Experience for Undergraduates) to work in the Tissue Regeneration Materials Unit, at the National Institute of Materials Science in Tsukuba, Japan during Summer 2015!
